Macromedia Fireworks

I've been using Macromedia Fireworks for a while now. this software is very smart.. it's originally built for web design. but I say.. Flash also was originally built for web design!

I used Fireworks to design many web pages including this journal, by the time went, it became my primary illustration software. it's easier than Coral, Illustrator, and it can edit raster bitmaps also! and it's way lighter than Photoshop.

The only thing that is a disadvantage in Fireworks. that it can't produce extreme high resolutions witch are needed for printing. that's of course what makes it lighter. so if you are not planing on print a magazine or a banner, and you just want to digital art for digital viewing. then you must go Fireworks!

Radiosity

Now with the all new "Radiosity" feature in 3ds Max 5, I can make global illumination scene.. that's far more better and easier rendering solution than "Ray Tracer". i did model this temple back in 2001 as a background for my "Horus" character, but this is a new render shot with "Radiosity".

Sergent Cockroach

The character of "Sergent Cockroach" has been with me for quite sometime. sketches, illustrations, 3d models, concepts and storyboards, none of them was completed. Even when I started animating it on Flash.. I never ended it!..

No Way To Run

A friend of mine gave me an Idea about a Hammer chasing a Nail! and after some hilarious sketches.. the idea became a short movie, and that's when I decided to go Flash.

I'm very enthusiastic about getting into the Animation department in my college, some of faculty members are encouraging me, i showed them my animations and they liked it. one of them told me: "Flash is just a tool, you must not let it control your works".. so meaningful thing to say.. but for me it doesn't mean i have to stop using Flash, now I'm getting more adjusted to it, and specially it's time line, even for a frame by frame animation it's more flexible and easy. Flash is giving me complete control over my work, it's setting me free!
